Spektrix Community Guidelines

The Spektrix Community is a vital part of what we do. We regularly create opportunities for Spektrix users, partners and team members to come together, online and in person, to listen, share ideas and support one another.

By joining any of our Community events or forums, engaging in conversation or interacting with other users within a space created by Spektrix, you agree to the following guidelines:

Our guidelines

  • Share, ask and engage! Our Community is a space for others to hear your ideas, celebrate your successes and solve your dilemmas. The more you put in, the more everyone will get out. By working together, we can create spaces which are supportive, beneficial and fun.
  • We appreciate lively discussion - but if you disagree with someone, make your point constructively and respectfully, and be prepared to challenge your own ideas in return.
  • Every community event or forum designed by Spektrix will have a specific topic or purpose. Please stick to those themes, and don’t use our Community spaces to promote non-Spektrix products or otherwise solicit sales.
    • If you’re a Partner and you’d like to let Spektrix users know about your product or news, contact hello@spektrix.com.
    • If you’re a Spektrix user and you’d like to share an announcement with the wider community, contact marketing@spektrix.com and we’ll consider whether your story fits in our newsletters or other channels.
    • If you’re a Partner or Spektrix user and you need help to use our system, email support@spektrix.com.
  • Respect your own privacy and that of others. If somebody trusts you with their contact details, don’t pass them on without permission. Be careful if you’re sharing screenshots or other content which may contain details of your colleagues or customers.
  • Respect other people in the space. Avoid sharing anything in public or private conversation that might be considered defamatory, indecent, or hateful to any person or organization, or that might make someone feel uncomfortable. Be considerate of your language, and aim to use words, imagery and examples that include everyone; and be conscious of how your others may receive your content, as well as how it’s intended.
  • Don’t break the law. This includes but is not limited to, copyright or intellectual property violations, sharing of inappropriate content, and any activity which may be considered threatening, abusive, or intended to harm or distress. Remember that our Community crosses international boundaries and that laws may vary between the regions in which we work.

Tell us about any concerns

Our Community spaces are monitored by the Spektrix team. If you encounter anything which doesn’t feel right, whether it’s at a live or online event, in a digital forum, or in any other space created by Spektrix, please let us know.

  • Speak to any Spektrix staff member at an event, or by using the online event chat.
  • Contact the event organiser directly, or reply to any pre-event email.
  • Contact us on hello@spektrix.com and we’ll pass your message to the right person.
  • Use this form if you prefer to raise concerns anonymously or wish to speak directly to our senior management team. Your responses will be received by two senior staff members, neither of whom is directly involved in running our online or in-person community spaces.

We will take any concerns seriously. If any member of the Spektrix community is found to have violated the guidelines set out here, we reserve the right to remove content or remove individuals from Community spaces. Whilst we will usually issue reminders of expected behavior in the first instance, extreme violations of our standards may result in immediate removal and/or suspension from future events. If we believe that criminal activity has taken place, we have a duty to report it to relevant authorities.

We may occasionally update these guidelines. This page will always contain the most recent version. The current version was published on 10 May 2021.
